Special treatment for coagulation of apocrine glands
In apocrine treatment, the needle units penetrate the skin to the depth of the sweat glands. Thanks to the insulated needle units, the RF energy exerts its effect at the level of the apocrine glands, selectively coagulating the target structure. Special RF settings for selective treatment of apocrine glands. With the ONIX system, three radio frequency settings can be selected (0.5MHz, 1MHz and 2MHz), so selective coagulation of the apocrine sweat glands can be achieved with the appropriate energy settings. Selectable radio frequency settings and RF combined with an insulated needle enable the treatment of additional indications, such as skin tightening, face lifting, and wrinkle reduction.
Special, insulated needle unit
The plug-in tips are equipped with 36 gold-plated, insulated micro-pins. With its help, treatments can be performed significantly faster than in the 10 or 25-needle versions, and it does not involve a high sensation of pain. According to treatment experience, 10 or 25 needles can only deliver a small amount of energy on a surface of 1 cm2, so the area must be covered several times. Treatment with a 49-needle tip, on the other hand, takes too much energy and can easily lead to unwanted heat damage to the skin. With some manufacturers, we can see a 1.5 x 1.5 cm tip, which is already too large, so the treatment surface has to be covered several times in the case of the usual 36 or 49-pin tips, and even the segmented surfaces are difficult to handle. The 36-needle version with a surface of 0.9 cm2 can be said to be optimal both in terms of energy input and ease of use on the segmented skin surface.

Conventional, uncoated needles are common in micro-needle therapy machines. Partially coated needles are typical only for the most advanced high-tech equipment. Their significance is that the RF energy is not emitted over the entire surface of the needle, but only at the non-insulated end of the needle (0.3 mm).
